Canadian Feature Documentary | Beyond Extinction

Spanning 27 years, Beyond Extinction traces Sinixt matriarchs who revive traditions and fight to save an ancient burial ground in BC’s Slocan Valley. Declared “extinct” by Canada’s colonial Indian Act in 1956, the film documents their intimate living histories and their decades long struggle for recognition.
